I'm finding out living over here that you're never to old to need mothering. Or to need "momisms" those sayings that moms are famous (or is it infamous) for saying said to you. Such as:

1. Don't sit down on concrete. You'll be sterile.
2. Don't let a breeze in through the window. It might blow on you and give you a cold.
3. Bundle your baby up. He/she will get sick. Even if it's 80 degrees, bundle them up.

So, I was in a store yesterday looking for something I need when approached by a very nice older than me I think (it's hard to tell over here who is older than me some days) lady who scolded me for not having a sweater or jacket on. I had on a long sleeved t-shirt with a camisole so I wasn't chilly at all. I smiled & thanked her for her concern and told her that I was comfortable and not chilly. She smiled and said "so'g" which means strong. I wonder if she was thinking I'd make a good daughter-in-law because I'm so strong?

I also met a lady who very kindly told me that I spoke very good language of my new country. Only problem was I was NOT speaking that language. I think I must still have some work to do!

As I sit here listening to the vehicles roar up & down the street outside my apartment I am thankful I don't drive but walk pretty much everywhere I go. They use their horns---a lot. Before the light turns green the horns start honking as a warm up to "come on, let's go! Gogogogogo!". It's quite the experience to be in the pedestrian cross walk, which by the way, the drivers DO honor for the most part, and to suddenly hear hundreds of horns blasting their chorus.

I've got to come up with something a bit more entertaining to write if I'm going to do this blogging thing I think!

Well, in an attempt to stay up with the technological times I decided I will blog.

Don't know on any given day what I will talk about--just about anything is possible.

So, join me if you will, for meandering!
